Associate Chief Medical Officer and National Medical Director, Radiology and Guideline Development
Chris Buckle, MD, MBA, is our associate chief medical officer and also serves as the clinical lead for radiology and guideline development at AIM Specialty Health® (AIM). In his role, Dr. Buckle is responsible for defining the clinical strategy of the AIM Radiology Solution, our flagship offering.
Certified by the American Board of Radiology and awarded a fellowship by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, Dr. Buckle brings a variety of radiology practice experiences to his role as medical director. Subspecialty trained in neuroradiology but also accomplished in general diagnostic imaging, he has worked in a variety of both private and academic settings across the Midwest, the Northeast, and Canada, including small, rural practices and large, urban ones. His current clinical practice focuses on emergency radiology.
Prior to AIM, Dr. Buckle served as a clinical instructor at the University of Chicago Hospital (now the University of Chicago Medical Center) and as a clinical assistant professor of radiology at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. An author of several peer-reviewed articles, he has a special interest in appropriate use and evidence-based radiology.
After studying cognitive science at McGill University in Quebec, Canada, Dr. Buckle earned his doctorate from the University of Ottawa. He completed his residency at the University of Chicago and holds a Master of Business Administration with added qualification in health care administration and policy from the same institution.
