Senior Vice President, Clinical Programs
Julie Thiel, MD, is the Senior Vice President of Clinical Operations for AIM Specialty Health® (AIM). As a member of the executive team, she oversees the AIM clinical review process and operational workflows that help ensure care that aligns with medical evidence.
Dr. Thiel joined AIM as a Physician Reviewer in 2005. Most recently, she served as the Senior Vice President of Clinical Programs, managing the development of AIM clinical guidelines.
Prior to joining AIM, Dr. Thiel had 15 years of clinical and administrative experience in a variety of practice settings. She held a faculty appointment at Rush Medical College and was an attending physician in emergency medicine at Rush Presbyterian St Luke’s Medical Center in Chicago, Illinois, for 10 years. Dr. Thiel also served as the Medical Director for a private medical practice in Chicago.
Dr. Thiel is board certified in internal medicine. She received her medical degree from the University of Iowa and completed her residency in internal medicine at University Hospitals of Cleveland at Case Western Reserve University.
