Associate Medical Director, Surgical Procedures Solution
Matthew S. Patton, MD, is Associate Medical Director of the Surgical Procedures Solution. In this position, he works to identify and implement innovative growth opportunities that promote evidence-based utilization of outpatient surgical procedures as well as clinically appropriate sites of care. His operational oversight emphasizes efficient end-to-end workflows through analysis of real-time engagement data in order to ensure a solution founded on clinical accuracy and platform usability. Dr. Patton also leads and trains a team of physicians, nurses, and non-clinical staff who manage provider requests for surgical procedures.
Dr. Patton joined AIM in 2017 as Associate Medical Director of Clinical Operations. He brought to the team multi-specialty clinical expertise and a dedication to effective medical communication – skills he honed as a faculty member with Northwestern Medicine. There he served at both Northwestern Lake Forest Hospital Emergency Department and Northwestern Grayslake Emergency Center.
Dr. Patton received his Doctor of Medicine degree from Northwestern University Feinberg School of Medicine, and he is board certified in emergency medicine.
